Evalon Membrane?
The Alwitra Evalon is a superior-quality single-ply waterproofing membrane and the system The Flat Roofing Company predominantly uses for flat roof installations. Made from a vinyl-ethylene-terpolymer (VET) combining PVC and EVA, the Evalon is an extremely stable, high-performance product that is free from potentially harmful volatile plasticisers – a major advantage over many competing membranes that degrade over time as plasticisers are lost.
The Evalon is available in both fully-adhered (Evalon V) and self-adhesive (Evalon VSK) formats, with polyester fleece backing and effective homogeneous sealing thicknesses of 1.2mm and 1.5mm. It is compatible with bitumen and most standard insulation boards and can be applied directly to ply and built-up systems including VCL, insulation, and membrane. Available in slate grey and light grey, the Evalon delivers a clean, professional finish for both new build and refurbishment projects. With excellent chemical resistance and a 40-plus year life expectancy, it is one of the most reliable flat roofing products on the market.

Evalon V is a fully-adhered membrane installed using an adhesive, while Evalon VSK is a self-adhesive version with a pre-applied bonding layer on the underside. Both use the same high-quality VET membrane composition and are suitable for warm and cold roof applications. We will recommend the appropriate version for your roof during the survey.
Yes. The Alwitra Evalon is approved for green roof applications and is root resistant, making it an excellent choice where a planted or sedum roof is planned above the waterproofing layer.
